Customising email content for the invoice

How to customise your invoice email.

Whether you're creating a new invoice, sending a credit note, or resending an invoice — you're in control of the message your client receives.

You’ll be able to customise the email content

  • When sending a new invoice or credit note

  • When resending an issued invoice

Reminder emails are not yet editable — we’re working on this for a future release ✨

Customising the email content

In the final step of creating an invoice, when you click on Preview email and send you’ll see Send invoice pop-up where you can make edits:

The Email content section will have a pre-populated message, which you can customise before sending. The content will be saved for this invoice if you want to resend the invoice, or when you copy the invoice to a draft one.

You can also insert key invoice details using dynamic fields:

  • {client_name}

  • {invoice_amount}

  • {due_date}

These can be typed in manually or selected from a dropdown menu in the editor.

Before sending the email you can preview the email by switching to the Preview tab.

Can I save a custom email template to reuse later?

Each email is customised per invoice, so you can make it personal every time. Templates aren't here just yet, but they're on our radar!

What happens if I leave the email blank?

If you leave the email field blank, we’ll prompt you to fill something in before you can send.

Can I include links in the email content?

Links are not supported in the email content.
