Did you know you can filter to find transactions in Ember? 🤯 Mind-blowing, right?
There's this little Filter button underneath the All bank accounts dropdown list on your Transactions tab which unlocks a huge world of possibilities💫.
Read below for the various filtering options on this simple little hack which will help expedite your reconciliation.
Filter by Status
Searching for just categorised transactions? Want to review just the AI-categorised ones instead? You have a range of options available to you here. Simply click on the transactions Status you wish to only view and then click Show results:
Filter by Date
If you are looking for transactions within a specific period, you can choose a Day, view the Past Month, or add in custom dates via the Range option. Simply click on the preferred option, input your date(s), and then click Show results:
Filter by Category
As the sub-heading states, you can search for transactions in any specific category. And you can search multiple categories at once! Input the category name you wish to search for in the Category field and tick the category which matches, and then click Show results. Don't forget you can search for and select multiple categories at once (as shown below):
Filter by Income, Expenses, Assets, Liabilities, Equity, and Other
There are many other filtering options you can view and use by scrolling below the Category section and clicking Show more:
Here you will find multiple options listed under Income, Expenses, Assets, Liabilities, Equity, and Other sections. Tick the categories which match your requirements and then click on Show results to view all relevant transactions:
Searching for a transaction
Finally, you can just search for a transaction by the payment reference via the Search transactions field. For example, if you would like to find a Pied Piper transaction, just input Pied Piper in the Search transactions for matches. Adding a filter in addition to the search tag will help narrow down results:
Quick tip🤓
Do remember you can choose as many filtering options at once as you wish! If you want to find an Asset transaction on a specific Day which has already been Reviewed, select all the relevant options to quickly find that transaction🚀.
