Connecting your bank account with Ember is one of the first things that you should do when setting up your Ember account.
To do this, please first navigate to Settings and select Manage Connections to view the bank connection page
When you click Connect bank accounts, you can use the search bar to find your current bank provider* (feel free to also check out our partnerships with Revolut and Tide for benefits that might be relevant to you).
*We currently support the following connections for sole traders and are always adding more providers:
AMEX
Barclays (We don't currently support Barclaycard as part of this integration)
Barclays Business
Bank of Scotland
Capital One
Danske Bank
First Direct
Halifax

Virgin Money - It's worth noting for Virgin Money users that recently created accounts have a 10 digit customer ID as opposed to the old 7 digit customer ID. The 10 digit ID is currently not supported.
You will then be taken to the permissions request. To connect with your bank, we need your authority to access some of the financial data that exists on your bank's side.
Note: This will only ever grant read-only access to your banking transactional data.
Once you click allow you will be redirected to your banking provider to fill in some additional information on their end. Follow the steps requested by your bank and you will be re-directed back to Ember with a live connection. π₯³
If your bank is not appearing in the list, it's likely that we do not support that bank at the present time. You can find more information on which banks we support here
If you are experiencing any issues connecting your bank account please reach out to our dedicated support team and we will be more than happy to assist you.
