A company authentication code, or Companies House Auth Code as you will see in your Company Settings tab, is a code you'll need to file company information online.
The authentication code is a 6 digit alphanumeric code issued by Companies House to each company. It is unique to your company and the usual time to receive it is with your documents of incorporation. The code is used to authorise information filed online and is the equivalent of a company officer’s signature.
You or your accountant will need the code to file your information on Companies House WebFiling, or when using filing software.
