As a director of a LTD company you may still need to file a self assessment. If you're unsure whether you need to file one, we would advise checking this link.
If you have two or more directors (or shareholders) for your Limited Company, it's possible that more than one of you will need to file a self-assessment. However, Ember currently supports only one director filling out the self assessment questionnaire on your LTD company account.
For any directors who are not assigned as the designated individual to complete the self-assessment questionnaire on the LTD company account, we would invite you to create a free sole trader account. This ensures that each director's personal tax affairs are correctly addressed and reported.
Once the sole trader account has been created, you should navigate to "Settings" within Ember and then "Your information". If you're already registered for self assessment, you should provide the relevant information here.
In order to complete the self assessment questionnaire and submit it to us, please see the following instructions below:
Navigate to the "My Tasks" tab, which can be found via the navigation menu on the left hand side of Ember.
Under the "My Tasks" tab, select "Self Assessment" from the top right corner drop-down list, and you will find an option titled "Self-Assessment Return". Click on it to begin filling out the questionnaire.
Provide any required information
Review your responses before submitting the questionnaire.
After submitting the questionnaire to us, one of our accountants will be in touch if they have any further questions for you. If not you can expect to hear from them when the draft self assessment has been prepared.
